42 degrees outside, light rain falling and I decide to wash her car. We're taking it to the body shop tomorrow to get the ding taken out and we wanted it to be spotless in case they lean or rub up against it. In return for this, I get homemade chicken & dumplings for lunch, and will be waited on in a kingly manner during the game this evening. A promise of hot clam dip, original Ruffles and assorted beers have been made.
The ding.

hot clam dip
Oh, you and your euphemisms!

Mmm chicken & dumplings.
Also, looks pretty clean. When I used to wash my car in the winter I always got comments about it - like I was a fool for wanting nice things to stay nice. (Now I live where there is no winter, so problem solved.)

I'm a British-American, though I've been told that that's only because my British ancestor's refused to acknowledge their Irish heritage.

I'm not English tongue, but I always thought that a "ding" is the little dent made e.g. by a small rock, while yours is big dent from a good crash.
